2 New Videos Hit this week

As from the title you are thinking i am posting the new Kanye West And Eminem videos, well today it is far from it. Yesterday Uzi dropped his new Video Like A Star, which is not from his mixtape that i posted earlier this month. which is a good sign as new music is to come from the Wingmanents Rapper. While watching this i noticed @Davestackem managed to bag himself a cameo in a decent video shot in night-time London which is a good setting.

And tonight one of my favourite artists B-Mus released his new video off his new mixtape The Art Of Storytelling 2 which will be up for download soon. The track is called Go 'Arder, and it is set in "Blue Borough" Lewisham his home town and in it some good freestyle football skills and dancing. Check it out

Is Grizzly Ever Going To Rest

On Friday at midnight the Brixton born artist known as Grizzly released his mixtape “AWOL Volume 2 Never Gonna Rest”. Now do not get it twisted AWOL is not Absent Without Leave no its A Way Of Life, and throughout this 23 track mixtape he shows you how it is done. The tracks range from talking about Weave on “But” the weave song to “Hoe In The bits”. This is one of my favourite mixtapes this year coming from the uk, i mean it is very rare to get someone release a mixtape for free which was originally on Ukrecordshop.com, and to add to the build up to the free release, Grizzly released a couple of free tracks to build up the hype for it. And these were bangers my favourite of the two has to be the one he released on his birthday and that was his “Beamers, Benz And Bentley freestyle”, his flow on his big. He doesn’t slow it down for a U.S 70BPM beat like most artists do. And the other track that got released is ”On To The Next One” no before you say it it is not another cover of a Jay-Z track no it is an originaly produced track by S-X the creator of the biggest instrumental this year the “Woo Riddim”. While you are downloading this big mixtape which is free you should check out this hot freestyle by Grizzly.

I Will Survive

Right it has been a hot minute since I wrote a post but after being sent a link to a video by @drewmula for a video for a track he featured on with Uzi. I decided to find more out about this track and was pleasantly surprised by what I found and that was a hot mixtape by Uzi and Drew. To my knowledge since I joined twitter last February was @drewmula was a media student not a singer, and hence why it is autotuned up. But do not let that put you off the mixtape as it adds to fact that this mixtape is worth downloading (that and it is free). The mixtape is 18 tracks strong, and has all sorts for your ears, wether you like it slow and subtle or a nice smooth hip-hop beat. I can honestly say The Uninvited is one of my favorite mixtapes this year and highly recommend downloading it. While downloading it watch the video for I Will Survive...

Mixtape Of The Week

At midnight djames released the latest mixtape from JSB called "Just A Warning". I was blessed enough to be sent it a week early to have a listen, and i can say i was pleasantly surprised with what i heard. And in my personal opinion it is a warning for a sign of things to come from the Young Future Entertainment camp. On this mixtape you get JSB's style and flow which is different to most of the artist's currently coming out of the uk. On the mixtape it has freestyle's over Pass Out by Tinie Tempah, Drake's Over, Say Ahh and my favourite on the mixtape Drop The Game which is JSB's take on Drop The World by Lil' Wayne And Eminem and many more great takes on your favourite tracks. I can honestly say this is going to be one the better releases you will hear over the next few months and i highly recommend you download this. While Downloading watch this little freestyle JSB made the other day in the studio. Remember this is Just A Warning...

Mixtape Of The Week

I have not done this for a while as i have been searching the web for the best mixtape for you guys and in the past 3 weeks i have 3 mixtapes. And i shall have these up for you by the weekend. Tonight i am starting off with The Game's new mixtape "The Red Room" This was released on Monday night and i am on my 5th play of it already. The opening track is 400 bars, if you remember his beef with 50 cent and G-unit back in '04 he done a track called 300 bars and runnin'. Well this is the perfect opener to a great mixtape to build some hype for his album due to be released later this year. Other tracks on here include his version of Drop The World, Dirty Money's Angels and some other bangers that has been released this year. This mixtape has to be put on your Ipod/iPhone, Blackberry, CD-r or any other music player you have. While your downloading this check listen to my favourite track off the mixtape Lowrider Feat. Mixtape Of The Week

This week i bring you another decent mixtape, it may only be 35 minutes long but do not let that put you off. It is from B-mus a Uk based MC, it is called The Art Of Storytelling. And his flow tells the story so well. It is 16 tracks of fire and i have to say my favourite is Deep Cover the Uk version... It is a version of the classic from Dr Dre and Snoop Dogg from 1992. The punchlines in B-Mus's flow is up there with some of the best in Uk Hip-hop at the present time. So i reccomend you download it. While you are downloading it take a look at his latest video which is off the mixtape, it is Murder Scene (M-Scene)

Is AKS Runnin' This Town

At the start of the year everyone was praising Lilly Allen and her track The Fear. So i decided to find it on YouTube and i came across a remix by a guy called AKS, and i gave that a listen and i was impressed. His wordplay for a UK artist for me was up there with some of the best in the US. So i decided to add him on facebook and got a link to his free mixtape AMITM (A Miracle In The Making). And to my delight i was impressed with some good remixes like On The rock by Mavado and Black Boys by Bashy.

That's The Fear and here's the link to his mixtape AMITM.

http://www.sendspace.com/file/ch32dj

But then this weekend i was sent a link to a new track by him and i must admit its one of the best remixes i have heard of this tune... Its Run This Town by Jay-Z, Kanye West & Rihanna so have a listen and download his mixtape.

And yes AKS Does Run This Town

Interview With Mr Midas

Me) A lot of people know you from T4's musicool. What influence and experience did you take from the show?

MR Midas) Hmmmm not sure I've always liked other music but probably more then anything I grew as a person, the show showed me that people are the same and music can unite races, sex and alsorts...

Me)On the show peoples styles ranged from Grunge to Pop to R&B to Bashment. Since the show how have those genres helped your develop your music?

Mr Midas) Well the title track to my album is featuring Darren Michelangelo Smith from the show which isn’t a dancehall song so its changed the feel and direction of some of my music.

Me) Out of everyone on the show who have you/are you working with?

Mr Midas) Darren is like a close friend to me so I'm mainly working wit him, Mz Bratts doing big things very proud of her and I’ve dun a few rock gigs with Fi from eyelash.

Me) Wile Out was your debut song, which featured Blemish, the single got heavy rotation the then famous Channel U, people slated that channel as they said it promoted the gun and knife culture affecting the U.K. How did the Channel help you move forward in your career?

Mr Midas) When I came off the musicool TV show Channel U showed me a lot of love, they spun my video a lot and I did a couple adverts and TV shows with them. They gave lot of love that other ‘big’ stations wouldn’t even though I just come off a 2million viewers a week TV show, so go nuttin but love for them.

Me) That song got you the UMA best newcomer award. How do you feel about award shows like the mobo's + Brits as people don't think they represent the real music that is about from the Urban genres?

Mr Midas) Well I don’t think the UMA’s has ever been in that position, they’ve always been successful in nominating and awarding the correct artist and the reason is, its all public votes. (Like when the brits Craig david didn’t win anything but he cleaned up at the UMAs).

Winning my award was an amazing experience, one of the best in my career thus far but I don’t think it was just because of Wile Out because a lot of people who voted never heard the song or seen the video.

I personally got love for the MOBO’s because its something out there for black music.

Me) You have worked with some big artists like Dready, Dexplicit, Fire Camp and Big Dirtz. What Other artists would like to work with that has influenced your career from the past or present?

Mr Midas) I’ve been blessed that people with huge names have wanted to work with me, its crazy sometimes I’m like im some dude from Brixton and I’m working with people that have classic’s…. like on my album I got production from Dready, Sticky, Self Taught, Richie Rich and even Bad Boy Records new producer Flor-d.

I’d love to work wit Sway and Chris Martin from Cold play, oh the Gorillas too.

Me) You have kept mainly to the same genre mainly through your career which is Bashment. But would you move to another genre just for that one big hit? As people are talking about artists who they claim to have left the scene which made them, what are your thoughts about the fans that then decide to boycott that artists music?

Mr Midas) Well me a real yard yute… Si me a it dat…

Looool Nah seriously I just make Mr Midas music, my styles bashment but my sounds not. Ras Kwame is always like I love this but its not Dancehall… Well its Mr Midas lol.

The album im working on is a fusion of me…. English ermmmm nah I mean British, Jamaican and Bayjon (Barbados) all the little sides that make this Mr the talent he is.

Me) Your new single Midas Featuring David B is currently out. Is that the first single off your future album? In Which there has been rumours about some big producers and collaborations?

Mr Midas) Well not much big NAME callabos… I mostly made the album about me!! But as you’ve seen I’ve already name dropped some big producers lol But yea Midas is the 2nd Promo single Wile Out was the 1st…. The albums gonna be a lot just need the right machine to work the product.

Me) You have recently filmed a advert for B.E.T. Are there anymore plans to carry on acting once your album is done?

Yea! I’m a presenter now since the musicool show, I’ma ras chat a box and I love a camera in my face so that’s a great combo for me loool

but yea acting, presenting, music it just another part of this Mr.

Last Word:

Just a big shout out to everyone who’s showed love and supported the movement.

Bashy

Bashy is one of the best mc's around and his videos go good to great, his latest video is Life is the best one ive seen so far so aswell as life im posting some of his best videos to date in no particular order...

Nas's Open Letter

My Fox has obtained video of a fight between two rival gangs on Thursday that led to the beating death of a 16 year old honor student from Chicago’s Fenger High. In the video, Derrion Albert was attempting to help another student when he was hit in the head with a board and pummeled with fists while other students watched. Workers from a nearby community center came to the rescue when the fight was over but it was already to late. To date, three assailants have been caught in connection with the attack and all three have been charged with first-degree murder.

I watched the above clip of the fight earlier and was truly disgusted. The video was posted so that the remaining suspects could be identified. In my opinion, the people who sit and watch senseless violence as it takes place without attempting to find help are just as guilty as those involved.

Nas has stepped up and wrote an open letter to the kids involved in the attack. Check it out below:

Dear Young Warriors fighting the wrong wars! Killing each other is definitely played out. Being hurt from the lost of a love one was never cool. Dear Young Warriors fighting the wrong war! I know that feeling , that frustration with life and needing to take it out on someone, any one. But….

We chose the dumbest things to go the hardest for. I remember seeing deaths over 8 ball jackets, fila’s , and name plate chains. Deaths over “he say she say”!!!!! “I’m from This block or I’m from that block”, or “my moms n pops is f*cked up now the whole world gotta pay”!!!

I remember feeling like I was the hardest “n*gga” breathin. And I couldn’t wait to prove it. But let’s think. What r we really proving?? And proving what to who?? Everybody knows Chicago breeds the strongest of the strong but I just feel, me, being ya brother from another state feels your pain as if I grew up with you in ya very own household.

You have the ability and mind power to change they way we are looked at. Look who’s watching us young warriors, look who’s throwin us in jail constantly, look at the ignorance in the world. Look at the racist dogs who love to see us down. Lovin to bury us in the ground or in jail were we continue this worthless war on one another. Young warriors…. We are WASTING more and more time. We gotta get on our jobs and take over the world. Cuz This movie left the theaters years ago, Juice, Menace, boys n the hood , blood n blood out, Belly!

When we see each other why do we see hatred? Why were we born in a storm, born soldiers, WARRIORS….and instead of building each other up we are at war with each other.. May the soul of this young person find peace with the almighty. I’m with you young warriors. You’re me and I’m you. But trust me! you are fighting the wrong war.

-Nas

The bitter reality of facebook by kingpin

The more and more I hear friends and co-workers praise Facebook, the more I start to question who I surround myself with. It's always the same story: "Bro, I just found my old buddy from school on Facebook! I haven't spoken to him in years! Facebook is the sheeeee-it like that." That's cool, you found your old friend on Facebook. But then what? What happens after that? Do you guys get together and hang out like you did in school? Nope. You both have careers and a different life than you had in school. So what do you do? You tolerate him on Facebook until you finally decide to cut the cord. Here's a couple of typical scenarios of finding someone you went to school with:

Scenario #1: The old friend.

April 7 - You sign into Facebook and see a new friend request. You click it and see that it's a guy you hung out with in school, but afterwards you went separate ways and you didn't keep in touch because you're both a couple of dickheads and really never thought they were that interesting.

INNER THOUGHT: Oh, shit! Man, I haven't seen him in forever! I wonder what he's up to.

So you send your old buddy Bob a message. You tell him all about what's going on in your life now, where you work and how awesome everything is.

April 8 - You sign into Facebook and see that Bob sent you a reply. He tells you about all the things in his life, where he works, who he married and how awesome everything is. He asks if you ever see anyone from the old "gang" and you smile to yourself thinking about it, because you're a sack of shit and that's all it takes to make you smile now...reminiscing. You reply back that you occasionally talk to a few guys and you let him know that some of the other guys are on Facebook.

April 9 - You sign into Facebook and see that Bob has sent a reply. It's short and to the point: "Cool." You nod to yourself and go about your business of updating your status to let everyone know that you are making Ackee and Saltfish and then become a fan of being a fan of things. Douche! This is the last time you will ever hear from Bob in a written message. You guys caught up on things and that's it. It's done.

April 10 - You have a new notification. Bob sent you a drink. You accept and send a drink back because that's cool, right?

April 11 - Bob wants to you join his mob! You sign to yourself and join his mob.

April 12 - Bob sent you a flesh coloured butterfly. Bob sent you a cocktail. Bob sent you a neon ant farm. Bob wants to go on safari with you. Bob picked his 5 favourite bra sizes, pick yours now! Bob became a fan of being a fan of things, too! Bob challenged you to a quiz on 1980's board games. Steve poked you. Click here to poke Steve back. Steve scored 93% on the "How heterosexual are you?" quiz. (Wait...what? 93%?) Bob sent you a Care Bear. Bob sent you a...........you are no longer friends with Bob.

Scenario #2: The guy you went to school with that was kind of a dick and ran with a different crowd than you.

April 7 - You sign into Facebook and see a new friend request. You click it and see that it's a guy you went to school with. You didn't really know him that well and he was really just a dickhead in school. On more than one occasion you hoped that he would get raped. And not the good kind of rape where you scream at first, but then you kind of like how it feels and almost convince yourself not to file a police report, but you do because of how dirty your soul feels. That kind of rape.

INNER THOUGHT: What the fuck? How does this guy even know how to use a computer? Seriously!

So you write on Tom's wall because he's not message worthy and simply say what's up to him.

April 8 - You sign into Facebook and see that Tom wrote "Not much." on your wall. Fucking asshole!

April 9 - Tom sent you a Guinness. Tom sent you a cocktail. Tom sent you a bag of rocks. Tom wants to go on safari with you. Tom picked his 5 favourite animals, pick yours now! Tom became a fan of being a fan of things! Tom challenged you to a quiz on celebrity nut sacks. Tom poked you. Click here to poke Tom back. Tom scored 47% on the "How heterosexual are you?" quiz. (Wait...what? 47%?) Tom sent you a fucking Glow Worm. Tom sent you a...........you are no longer friends with Tom.

The only difference between finding an old friend from school and the biggest dickhead from school is the amount of time between meeting them and removing them from your friends. You see, I have this other way of keeping up with my old buddies. It's this sweet little device called a Mobile Phone. It's small enough to fit in my pocket and from it, I can message friends, talk to them, send them an e-mail or remove them from my Facebook friends for being a douche bag. If you are worthy of me keeping in touch with, you will be in my contacts list. Isn't technology great?
